Celtics Roll Over Pelicans 113-100, Win Sixth Straight Game!!!

The Celtics are on fire as of late and have now won 6 in row following tonight’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Celtics led from start to finish and there wasn’t really a point where the game felt it doubt which has seemed to be a nice trend lately for a team I like to call the Cardiac C’s.

If you were to have told me that playing without Kyrie, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford and Aron Baynes that they would cruise do such a decisive victory I would have thought you were crazy but that’s exactly what this team did. It goes to show that the next man up mentality is truly in full effect on Causeway Street.

Jayson Tatum started off the game very hot and finished the first half with 15 pts and 21 overall on the night. We saw him work a comfortable mid range game while also attacking the hoop at times. Most notably this nasty slam in the 2nd quarter.

Is there any better sound than when Mike Gorman yells “TO THE BASKET!”

Marcus Morris got smoking hot from three tonight and finished with a season-high 31 pts with 4 boards and 4 assists. In my opinion Morris is in consideration for team MVP thus far this season and proved tonight a thought that many have been having regarding him lately, that he isn’t just a role player, he is a legitimate starter not just in the NBA, but should be on this team as well.

Jaylen Brown had another strong performance of the bench tonight and provided some much needed depth and scoring for a team lacking some of their key players tonight. He shot 4 of 7 from deep and finished with 19 points. His aggressiveness has not gone overlooked as of lately and it’s something this team will need him for moving forward.

It’s mind-blowing to see how this team has played as of late. They look completely different from the team we saw to start the year and they seem to be rolling over teams with a sense of ease. Maybe this is what happens when you have the deepest team in the league and the rest of the league is starting to feel some early season exhaustion while your team is fresh as can be.

Yes I know the Celtics have some players banged up, but clearly it doesn’t really matter when you have this much talent. It’s gonna be scary to see this team come the playoffs when depth really matters during the two and half month marathon that is the NBA playoffs.
